Native Land Recognition

Last Updated 12.11.23

We acknowledge that we are all living off the taken ancestral lands of Patwin, Wappo, Miwok, and Karkin Indigenous Peoples for the time immemorial. We acknowledge the extraction of brilliance, energy, and life for labor force upon people of African descent for more than 400 years.

We recognize the immigrant and American-born workers of African, Asian, and Central and South American descent whose labor remains hidden in the shadows but still whose labor remains hidden in the shadows but still contributes to the wellbeing of our collective community.

We celebrate the resilience and strength that all indigenous people and descendants of African have shown in this country and worldwide. We carry our ancestors in us, and we are continually called to be better as we lead this work.
